The CCU is a small rugged unit that is attached to the jacket or webbing using a clothing clip and is connected between the Full Function Crew Station (FFCS) and the Users headset to provide remote control of the FFCS intercom and radio selection.

The CCU weighs less than 200g and allows the selection of Intercom or radios A through to F. The military standard AP107 mating connectors are molded into the unit enabling the user to simply connect the CCU in between the headset and bailout cable. No additional cables are required.
